On Saturday, March 5, 2011, women of color and their allies will gather at Roosevelt Park and lead an historic march to San Jose City Hall.

Saturday, March 5 march at 11 am
from Roosevelt Park, 19th & E. Santa Clara St.

Post-march rally at City Hall, 5th & Santa Clara

The march will be marked with banners, signs and chants calling for peace, justice, marriage equality, safer streets, health care, education, jobs and pay equity, the environment and an end to all types of violent oppression at home and abroad.

Following the march will be a creative art session from 1:00 to 2 pm in front of City Hall. The program includes live music, dance, poetry, canvas murals, art making and cultural presentations. A banner will be available for the community to contribute and express what they envision for women in the South Bay. *** BRING YOUR DRUMS, MUSIC, POETRY, ART ****JOIN US IN SOLIDARITY AND LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

The South Bay International Womyn’s Day Network
