Philippines: Abuses Go Unpunished

In the Philippines today, we here that the President Noynoy Aquino will promise change, hope, and that the Aquino Administration and Philippine government is “serious” about Human Rights. Since the President’s sworning in in 2008, there has been 77 political killings, and hundreds of enforced disappearances by state forces, many of whom are innocent peaceful activists who fight for the basic human rights of their community and the Filipino people. Up to this day, no one has been convicted or held accountable for these crimes of impunity, which clearly the military and local/national state forces are involved in!

Katarungan para sa mga biktima ng human rights violations!
