Filipino Youth Stand in Solidarity with Ferguson! Black and Brown Lives Matter!

Anakbayan Silicon Valley stands in solidarity with the community of Ferguson, Missouri. We demand justice for Mike Brown, an African American youth who was violently and unjustly murdered by white police officer, Darren Wilson. We do not tolerate the release of Darren Wilson and will continue the fight to hold him accountable.

Mike Brown is one of many victims of state sponsored violence against youth.  We fight for Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin, two other unarmed African American youth who were also murdered by white male police officers. We stand with those struggling for justice in Gaza, where Palestinian youth are murdered daily by their government. We demand justice for the 43 Mexican youth who were brutally tortured and killed by the Mexican state. We honor Jennifer Laude, a trans Filipina who was viciously killed by white US marine, Joseph Scott Pemberton.

The murderers of Mike Brown and others like him enjoy protection from punishment by the so-called US justice system. The US government has a long record of destroying black and brown lives, from the Lynch Law to the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement, which is currently protecting Jennifer Laude’s killer.

These state sponsored murders are not isolated events, but rather are part of a larger imperialist agenda that does not recognize the value of black, brown, and trans lives, and all other lives marginalized by an oppressive capitalist system. The racism that fueled Mike Brown’s death is one of many cogs in the imperialist machine. Anakbayan Silicon Valley will continue to fight imperialism at home in the Philippines, and stand in solidarity with those fighting in Ferguson and wherever state repression strikes.

We reach out to all oppressed communities to fight imperialism and state violence together as a united front. Only through collectivized struggle can we effectively fight these injustices and prevent further violence against our communities.

END STATE VIOLENCE AGAINST YOUTH!
WE DEMAND JUSTICE FOR MIKE BROWN NOW!

BLACK AND BROWN LIVES MATTER!

OUR LIVES MATTER!
